Political Ramblings

McCain and Obama SUCK!
There, I got that out.
This is the United States of America! We are not stuck choosing between bad and worse. There are more than just 2 parties.
Basically, The Dems and Reps only care about increasing their own power and could not care less about 'the people' that elect them. They spew out what ever the party lines dictate and trash the other party. But they are both after the same thing, More power. And if you are buying into all the propaganda being spread all over the media, wake up, grow a brain, and start thinking for yourself. The media just wants ratings and will play it up because people like to be entertained. The media cares nothing for the truth and cares even less about people.
The 2 party system is destroying this nation. All this 'my party is god and yours is the devil' is so ridiculously childish and petty. Grow up. People are so ingrained in their party politics that it doesn't matter what their party says, it has to be true and the right thing to do. Most people cannot even tell you why they love one candidate and hate the other. It is just what the party says or what they have 'heard' so they go with it.
Try hitting the Reset button on your political beliefs for a minute. Look at all the different parties. Which one REALLY matches your beliefs? And are they really YOUR beliefs, or have you been stuck with your party for so long that you just believe it because your party does?
We are all taught certain things as we grow up, politically and otherwise. That is fine. But you have to reach a point where you seriously sit down and question everything you have ever been taught. Now after all that questioning you might end up right where you started. Good, at least they are your ideas now and not just parroting everything you have been told.
Now I have been told 'If you don't vote for McCain, you're voting for Obama" and 'If you vote for a third party, you are throwing your vote away'. Fine. I choose to throw my vote away. I would rather do that instead of support all the corruption that is going on in the government. Corruption that neither party has any intent on stopping. No matter how much one party complains about the power grabs and policies being put in place by the other party. Neither party will do anything to repeal those powers once they take over.
What is popular is not always right, and what is right is not always popular.
I am not so much trying to tell you to vote for one person or another. Just make sure to do your homework and understand who and what you are voting for. And quit trying to outwit those that don't agree with you. It is just stupid and it will never change anyone's mind.
So, you think I am an idiot and have no clue what I am talking about. That's OK. I am used to people not agreeing with me. So don't bother writing me and trying to tell me the error of my ways. It would just be a waste of bandwidth.

And if you are still crazy (or bored) enough to be reading this, here are where my votes stand.:

by the way I am in CA so most of these apply to just CA.

President: Charles O. Baldwin

Proposition 1A Bonds for High-Speed Rail:
No. Bonds = future taxes. Simple but true. Live within your means CA.

Proposition 2 Treatment of Farm Animals:
No. More strict laws will simply run more business out of CA.

Proposition 3 Bonds for Children’s Hospitals:
No. Bonds = future taxes. Stop trying to pull on my heart strings by tossing 'Children' in there.

Proposition 4 Parental Notification About Abortion:
YES! Holy cow. I can't even believe this is a question.

Proposition 5 Rehabilitation of Nonviolent Criminal Offenders:
No. Stop taking my money for pet projects.

Proposition 6 Public Safety Spending and Criminal Penalties:
No. Stop taking my money.

Proposition 7 Renewable Energy:
No. Put together by and backed by special interests that will get very rich by taking more of my money. I don't think so.

Proposition 8 Ban on Gay Marriage:

Proposition 9 Victims’ Rights:
? sorry, still trying to figure this one out.

Proposition 10 Bonds for Alternative Energy:
NO! Enough with all the stupid bonds already.

Proposition 11 Redistricting:
Yes. I sure hope this one works.

Proposition 12 Bonds for Veterans’ Home Loans:
No. No. NO! No more stinking bonds.
