Maxims, Axioms, and Principles - 01

Maxims
Axioms
Principles

Principle 1
Freedom to choose
Act, not to be acted upon
Proactive, not reactive
Free agency

The most important principle to understand is that of 'Free agency'. You are free to do anything you wish. Notice that you cannot choose the consequences of your actions, good or bad. No one can force you to do anything. Even with a gun held to your head, you still have the freedom to choose. This is the core principle that must be accepted or all other principles have no bearing. With the freedom to choose, you also accept responsibility for your own thoughts, words, deeds and situations. You are where you are because of choices you have made. If you are not satisfied with who or where you are then YOU must make the change. First by acknowledging your own responsibility in getting you there, and then choosing to make the necessary decisions to get out. Once you have accepted this, you forfeit the right to play victim. You are now the master of your own destiny.

Quotes:
The greatest power that a person possesses is the power to choose.
J. Martin Kohe

You can choose to be happy or sad and whichever you chose, that is what you get. No one is really responsible to make someone else happy, no matter what most people have been taught and accept as true.
Sidney Madwed

This life is yours. Take the power to choose what you want to do and do it well. Take the power to love what you want in life and love it honestly. Take the power to walk in the forest and be a part of nature. Take the power to control your own life. No one else can do it for you. Take the power to make your life happy.
Susan Polis Schutz

In all things there are three choices: Yes, No & no choice, except in this -- I either choose the truth or I am deceit.
Sovereign

The forces of good and evil are working within and around me, I must choose, and in a free will universe I do have a choice.
Sovereign

If you choose not to decide -- you still have made a choice!
Neil Peart

Liberty is the right to choose. Freedom is the result of the right choice.
Anonymous

He who lets the world, or his own portion of it, choose his plan of life for him, has no need of any other faculty than the ape-like one of imitation. He who chooses his plan for himself, employs all his faculties. He must use observation to see, reasoning and judgment to foresee, activity to gather materials for decision, discrimination to decide, and when he has decided, firmness and self-control to hold to his deliberate decision.
John Stuart Mill (1806 - 1873), On Liberty, 1859

One of the joys we have in being human is in exercising our freedom to choose and to take each case as it comes to us. We are not robots who are forced into behaviors by their programming. We see things; we think about things; and we choose our course of action or beliefs appropriately. And as long as that remains true of us, we will live every day of our lives on one slippery slope or another. There is no reason to fear this.
Real Live Preacher, Real Live Preacher weblog, 03-23-06

You must learn to face the fact, always, that you choose to do what you do, and that everything you do affects not only you but others.
Holly Lisle, Fire In The Mist, 1992

His mother had often said, When you choose an action, you choose the consequences of that action. She had emphasized the corollary of this axiom even more vehemently: when you desired a consequence you had damned well better take the action that would create it.
Lois McMaster Bujold, "Memory", 1996

I am who I choose to be. I always have been what I choose…though not always what I pleased.
Lois McMaster Bujold, "Memory", 1996

Agency is an eternal law. In order for us to use our agency, we must have a knowledge of good and evil, we must have the freedom to make choices, and after we have exercised our agency, there must be consequences that follow our choices.
Wolfgang H. Paul, 2006

We are responsible to use our agency in a world of choices. It will not do to pretend that our agency has been taken away when we are not free to exercise it without unwelcome consequences.
Dallin H. Oaks, 2001

You have to have agency to choose between good and evil. So we say, “I understand I’m free to do what I want. I’m my own person. I have agency.” It’s true that we are free to make our own choices, but we’re not free to choose the consequences of those choices. Once you understand that, you begin to understand that there is a great price to be paid for agency. Those people who think agency means “I can do whatever I want whenever I want” do not understand. They may be able to do what they want, but they can’t choose the consequences.
Robert D. Hales, 2005

Letters to the President

Here are a few letters I have come across. I did not write them but happen to agree with them.
As always, please do your own research and come to your own , informed, decisions and opinions.

"Mr. President,
Are you leading this country or are you leaving it up to the clowns in Congress? Most of them need to be muzzled (not all, just the select, most guilty, whiney ones). The only thing missing in this Government are the big red noses and squeaky clown shoes. Has anyone read the Constitution? I don’t see Congress owning up to their role in this outrageous economic fiasco. Stop this foolishness, please. Everyone needs to admit to, and share the blame for, faulty reasoning and poor judgment which is a direct result of their greed. Not reading the Stimulus Bill and signing off on it convinces me this mockery of a Congress is treasonous and ignorant of Americas rage against moral bankruptcy. Is this really what you want your legacy to be? Your children’s children will hate the 2009 Government for stupidity, especially when many of the guilty will have died, escaping the consequences of their actions. Congress needs to turn its puffed-up and phony outrage back on itself, compliments of the American people, the people you all work for. I’d fire the bunch of you at this juncture.
You are all shaming America, not only in the eyes of wiser, more responsible citizens than yourselves, but by the rest of this planet. These transparent diversions are not fooling your voters, so admit your failures and try fixing them by using better judgment than we’ve seen so far. You all need to understand your feet are to the fire and you don’t have very much time to repair the damage.
Mr. President, to quote you, “Enough IS enough!” Just stop it. Your economic policies are wrong. I can see it and surely I am not alone. Stay home, attend to business and stop the glib transparent pronouncements that have no plan to back them. Start implementing the transparency you promised and have reneged on. Clinton was known for “photo ops”, what do you think your catch phrase will be?
Stop hiring cheats. Your vetting policy stinks. You would have much better luck going to your local temp agency. Just think, your administration could actually be making a difference in the employment issue.
I personally feel the Republican Party has abandoned their core values. They’ve abandoned me, so I am now going to abandon them. I have no love for the Democratic Party, so it will be interesting over the next few months to see what party pops up that will possibly become more popular and even overtake a couple of parties that have forgotten who they are and have become obsessed with self importance.
Now, regarding GITMO, “How’s that workin’ for ya?” I don’t know where the remaining terrorist will end up but it had better be your backyard, not mine.
Mr. President, you have a very short period of time to start mending fences. I pray you see the light and act quickly. You have an opportunity here, please don’t blow it.
I am unable to venture out, to join protests that I agree with so please consider this letter my tea bag.
Signed XXXX"

"Mr. President
I have never seen so many jokers in one deck as I have seen these past 4 administrations. Your deck has more than the previous. It is time for this bunch of jokers to get a clue and hop off of your collective arrogant elitist high horses. Remember all of you are supposed to work for us, the citizens of the United States of America. You are supposed to have our best interest in mind, not your party. What an absolute laugh both parties must have at the expense of us, as you all perpetrate your fraudulent activities upon the American citizens.
If I were going to try to fix this sorry excuse for a governing body like I would a virus infected computer. I would format the G: drive (G: =government) and reload the original operating system so that the system could be recovered. This country was founded upon correct principles that have over the years been perverted, twisted and downright destroyed in the name of political correctness. Correct principles have never been popular, because it is the road harder to travel, but very worth the effort.
There are plenty of us citizens that get on our knees and pray on your behalf, in hopes that you will get a clue, and like General Washington humble yourselves and ask for Devine help on our behalf. Yes Mr. President it is YOUR responsibility to grow up and help to guide this country by way of correct principles. In case you have no clue what a correct principle is let me tell you. A correct principle is one of undeniable truth such as the principles of finance. For example 1+1-3=-1, it is obvious that you and congress have no concept of these principles.
In case you have not guessed I have no loyalty to neither the Democrats nor Republicans, as far as I am concerned both parties have abandoned us in favor of Greed, self importance and have given in to some kind of Socialist agenda. You on the other hand could not wait to break just about every promise you made to America. You obviously care nothing for integrity, honesty and honor. Your convoluted ideas of CHANGE have been nothing but one disaster after another, but of course you never did tell us what those changes were. NO EXCUSE.
America can no longer afford to ignore the man behind the curtain.
Further more there is far too much power given to a small bunch of genocidal maniacs, concerning the medical and food industries. We are being poisoned to death by both and one of these entities I backed by the law makers in an effort to remove our choices. All of this is not only for power but also for the love of money. This is nothing less than murder for money, the most grievous acts of all acts by mankind. I would dare say that Nazi Germany has nothing over the ruling powers of this very nation.
Now is the time to straighten your acts out and start running this government upon correct principles. I will continue to pray for my government that you will seek proper guidance and govern by correct principles. If you do not, I fear the consequences will be bad for generations to come and your name will be had for evil, and go down in history along with Hitler, Stalin and the till of the Hun.
Regardless of what the idiot media thinks, you are not the Messiah. You are nothing more than a fabrication of a bunch of lies that has duped the media and the American people for the short term.
John Q. Public"

Again, I did not write these I just happen to agree with them.
Hope you enjoyed them.

Tent cities vs FEMA camps

I will try and make this quick.
Something on my mind and in the media. I have hear much talk about FEMA (concentration) camps. A quick online search will reveal much information about them. Youtube has some good stuff too. Essentially they are camps to hold American citizens in the event on martial law. Very similar to the Nazi concentration camps. Not a very fun place to be. Please do some research and make your own conclusions on the reality of these camps.
Now everything has its opposite. Intro, Tent Cities.
Here is a great article I found on tent cities:
http://www.ldsavow.com/resources.html
Download and read "Why Tent Cities"
Note: this is not church sanctioned nor church doctrine. It is the opinion of individuals. Please study and make your own conclusions.
A tent city will be a gathering of righteous people living peacefully together.
In Cleon Skousens book 'The First 2000 Years' he has a great layout that compares the order of Enoch (the law of consecration) with Communism (socialism). I think the differences between Tent Cities and FEMA camps will be very similar.
The call to tent cities, according to some reports, could happen as soon as this spring. Frankly, no one really knows.
Now reading and studying all this stuff can get rather scary. The only real comfort I can give is the words of the prophets both ancient and modern, 'If ye are prepared ye shall not fear.' Listen to the counsel and act accordingly. Be spiritually prepared so you can follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost. Be temporally prepared by getting out of debt, making sure all your affairs are in order, and getting your food supply, 1 year wherever possible.
Now I am not trying to be a doom Sayer, just trying to get information out there. Please study and make your own conclusions. I prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
Be aware that out of all the conspiracy theories out there, at least a few are bound to be right.
Just be prepared and be informed.
That's all for now.

Don Tolman - Whole Foods and the FDR

This is a blog mostly for my own use. If you find it useful.....well that might be a little disturbing. But to each his own.
I have spent the last 2 years reading and studying the 'Farmacist Desk Reference' by Don Tolman. I read both volumes front to back. I finished New Years eve Dec 31 2008.
In the past 2 years I have learned more about health and history than i ever learned in school. I have learned to look at things from many different points of view and may angles.
I am putting this together right now to try and have one spot that i can reference back to to find information on Don Tolman and keep track of what he is up to. He has spent much time the past several years in Australia. He is back in the states for a short time. Welcome back Don.
Here is a series of links to information on Don Tolman. As you can see the list is rather long, that is why I am putting this together. You can find these just by doing a simple search onine for "Don Tolman". I am one of the few who don't use google on a regular basis. I prefer 'search.com'

If you find more links of interest or have any comments or corrections feel free to send them my way. If you are writing to tell me that I am crazy and a quack or anything like that, please do not bother.

Political Ramblings

McCain and Obama SUCK!
There, I got that out.
This is the United States of America! We are not stuck choosing between bad and worse. There are more than just 2 parties.
Basically, The Dems and Reps only care about increasing their own power and could not care less about 'the people' that elect them. They spew out what ever the party lines dictate and trash the other party. But they are both after the same thing, More power. And if you are buying into all the propaganda being spread all over the media, wake up, grow a brain, and start thinking for yourself. The media just wants ratings and will play it up because people like to be entertained. The media cares nothing for the truth and cares even less about people.
The 2 party system is destroying this nation. All this 'my party is god and yours is the devil' is so ridiculously childish and petty. Grow up. People are so ingrained in their party politics that it doesn't matter what their party says, it has to be true and the right thing to do. Most people cannot even tell you why they love one candidate and hate the other. It is just what the party says or what they have 'heard' so they go with it.
Try hitting the Reset button on your political beliefs for a minute. Look at all the different parties. Which one REALLY matches your beliefs? And are they really YOUR beliefs, or have you been stuck with your party for so long that you just believe it because your party does?
We are all taught certain things as we grow up, politically and otherwise. That is fine. But you have to reach a point where you seriously sit down and question everything you have ever been taught. Now after all that questioning you might end up right where you started. Good, at least they are your ideas now and not just parroting everything you have been told.
Now I have been told 'If you don't vote for McCain, you're voting for Obama" and 'If you vote for a third party, you are throwing your vote away'. Fine. I choose to throw my vote away. I would rather do that instead of support all the corruption that is going on in the government. Corruption that neither party has any intent on stopping. No matter how much one party complains about the power grabs and policies being put in place by the other party. Neither party will do anything to repeal those powers once they take over.
What is popular is not always right, and what is right is not always popular.
I am not so much trying to tell you to vote for one person or another. Just make sure to do your homework and understand who and what you are voting for. And quit trying to outwit those that don't agree with you. It is just stupid and it will never change anyone's mind.
So, you think I am an idiot and have no clue what I am talking about. That's OK. I am used to people not agreeing with me. So don't bother writing me and trying to tell me the error of my ways. It would just be a waste of bandwidth.

And if you are still crazy (or bored) enough to be reading this, here are where my votes stand.:

by the way I am in CA so most of these apply to just CA.

President: Charles O. Baldwin

Proposition 1A Bonds for High-Speed Rail:
No. Bonds = future taxes. Simple but true. Live within your means CA.

Proposition 2 Treatment of Farm Animals:
No. More strict laws will simply run more business out of CA.

Proposition 3 Bonds for Children’s Hospitals:
No. Bonds = future taxes. Stop trying to pull on my heart strings by tossing 'Children' in there.

Proposition 4 Parental Notification About Abortion:
YES! Holy cow. I can't even believe this is a question.

Proposition 5 Rehabilitation of Nonviolent Criminal Offenders:
No. Stop taking my money for pet projects.

Proposition 6 Public Safety Spending and Criminal Penalties:
No. Stop taking my money.

Proposition 7 Renewable Energy:
No. Put together by and backed by special interests that will get very rich by taking more of my money. I don't think so.

Proposition 8 Ban on Gay Marriage:
YES! You pushed us and we are pushing back. When some one can be sued because of their religious and moral beliefs, I have a big problem with that.

Proposition 9 Victims’ Rights:
? sorry, still trying to figure this one out.

Proposition 10 Bonds for Alternative Energy:
NO! Enough with all the stupid bonds already.

Proposition 11 Redistricting:
Yes. I sure hope this one works.

Proposition 12 Bonds for Veterans’ Home Loans:
No. No. NO! No more stinking bonds.

Blogging Begins

First attempt at blogging here. Good thing this has a built in spell checker. Cant type very well. This blog is just a place for me to type some of the random ramblings that go through my head. Gets rather noisy in there some times. It helps to write them down sometimes to better make sense of them. Now this may be my first and only entry into this blog. Who knows? I never have been much at writing (ask any of my English teachers). My mission journal has been in my trunk sense I got home. My penmanship is also horrible (as is my spelling and pens do not have spell check.) So if you are unfortunate enough to stumble upon this blog, please feel free to move along and ignore it. If you are crazy enough to continue you do so at the risk of your own sanity.\
